Add Your Domain to Web Hosting

Connect your domain name to your NordenVPS web hosting in 3 simple steps

📋 Before You Start

  • You have purchased a web hosting plan from NordenVPS
  • You own a domain name (e.g., example.com)
  • You have access to your domain registrar's DNS settings
  • You have access to panel.nordenvps.com

Create CNAME Record

Point your domain to our web hosting infrastructure

Go to Your Domain Registrar

Log in to where you purchased your domain (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare)

Find DNS Management

Look for "DNS Settings", "DNS Management", or "Nameservers" section

Add CNAME Record

Create a new CNAME record with these values:

Type: CNAME
Name/Host: @ (or your subdomain like "www")
Value/Points to: web.lumenvm.cloud
💡 Pro Tip: If you want both "example.com" and "www.example.com" to work, create CNAME records for both "@" and "www"

Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes take time to spread across the internet

Typically takes 5-30 minutes, but can take up to 24-48 hours in rare cases

How to Check if DNS is Ready

Use an online DNS checker tool:

Add Domain in Control Panel

Configure your domain in the NordenVPS hosting panel

Step 3.1: Login to Panel

Go to your web hosting control panel:

Open Control Panel →

Step 3.2: Navigate to Startup Settings

Click on Startup in the left sidebar menu

Step 3.3: Find "Website Domain" Variable

Look for the Variables section and locate:

Website Domain Your website's domain name. Ensure a CNAME record points to web.lumenvm.cloud

Step 3.4: Enter Your Domain

In the Website Domain field, enter your domain name:

Examples:

example.com

For multiple domains:

example.com, www.example.com, blog.example.com
✓ Multiple Domains: You can list multiple domains separated by commas to host them all on the same hosting

Step 3.5: Save and Restart

Click Save or Apply to update your settings

Your web hosting will restart automatically to apply the new domain configuration
